The great heavy metal band tried to make lightning strike twice in the wake of their monstrous "Live In Japan" album that helped propel them back on to the pop charts with the live version of "Smoke On The Water". This time though, a new singer (David Coverdale) and bassist (Glenn Hughes) were not enough to carry it out to the bullseye. But the recording remains for fans to experience the live feel of the time as these songs were recorded across the European continent.
